Vacancy Zeeland Zoute: Location Manager / Salt Boiler

At Zeeuwsche Zoute we make high-quality Dutch sea salt and provide classic products and recipes a new twist. In 2019 we started as the first salt factory in the Netherlands since the 19th century and we have now grown into a well-known brand in The Netherlands. Our goal is to become the leading salt maker in the Netherlands. In this position you play an important role in the entire salt production process, from pumping Oosterschelde water to harvesting of our salt. It is important to have an eye for detail, because accuracy and high quality standards are of great importance. You lead a team of two to three salt boilers. You are also responsible for the daily operations at the location. takes care of orders and is the point of contact for the person responsible for packing and shipping department. KEY TASKS INCLUDE

• Pumping up Oosterschelde water, monitoring the evaporation process and the harvesting and drying salt.
• Encouraging your colleagues to work productively.
• Carefully monitor and improve existing filling and registration processes.
• Regularly record inflation and vaporization logs, as well as maintain a cleaning schedule and log.
• Compliance with site quality control and safety standards
• Ensure proper functioning of all tools and equipment for salt production by cleaning and maintaining.
• Coordinating packaging and loading of the finished product for transportation.
• Maintaining and improving quality standards.
• Identifying processes that are not working properly and providing ideas to improve the processes. and equipment, for example in the areas of quality control, capacity and ease of use.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Has an MBO education (or equivalent) and has transportation and/or a driver's license.
• Preferably living in Bruinisse and/or the immediate area, a maximum of 15 minutes' drive away (Oosterland / Ouwerkerk / Sirjansland / Noorgouwe / Zonnemaire / Nieuwerkerk / Dreischor / Ouwe Tonge).
• Has experience with technology.
• Is prepared to have a flexible daily and weekly schedule.

TYPICAL WEEKLY SCHEDULE

Since Zeeuwsche Zoute is a continuous company, colleagues must work weekends in consultation and holiday services. We can take the Sunday rest into account by to limit certain tasks on that day, such as carrying out a check round on a rest day.
