Village council Bruinisse

The village council is the link between the municipal government and the local population. They are the municipal government's antennae for residents' concerns. They also serve as the municipal government's point of contact for events in the villages. The village council also fulfills an important social function in the village. Two examples include organizing the annual Remembrance Day event and a litter cleanup campaign with Albert Heijn, the primary schools, the municipality, etc. Furthermore, the village council has its own subsidy budget, which it can distribute annually among local associations at its discretion. It is important to note that the village council accounts for its policies once a year in a public meeting. If necessary, new board members will also be elected at this meeting.
