One step closer to the arrival of the new neighborhood, Riekusweel V, in Bruinisse
New homes for every stage of life
The new neighborhood will feature a varied housing offer with terraced houses, semi-detached houses, and plots for private construction. A large portion is designed to be suitable for all stages of life, ensuring residents can continue living there in later life. The plan includes social rental and mid-range rental homes from Zeeuwland, supplemented by affordable owner-occupied and private sector homes. This creates a neighborhood with space for first-time buyers, families, the elderly, and those moving up the housing ladder, contributing to better flow in the housing market.
“With the development of Riekusweel V, we are meeting an important need for affordable and future-proof homes in Bruinisse. The plan aligns well with the scale and identity of the village and with our sustainability ambitions,” said Alderwoman Jacqueline van Burg.
Appearance of the neighborhood
The new neighborhood will have a village-like appearance that complements the existing buildings in Bruinisse. The homes will be energy-efficient, and the public space will be designed to be nature-inclusive and climate-adaptive. Greenery and water play a central role, with a focus on biodiversity and safe walking and cycling routes.
