Careers Day

On November 29, the harbor plateau in Bruinisse was full of enthusiastic students. During the second Careers Day of Biz Bruinisse, students from groups 7 and 8 were introduced to professions in their own village. With a bag full of goodies and a safety vest, the adventure started immediately! At the Padmos machine factory, the children were given a tour of impressive machines and learned how ship parts are made. At BRU 17, Joost Deurloo talked about his work as a cook. As an extra treat, the children were able to enjoy a piece of freshly fried kibbeling. The tension rose at De Oesterwinkel, where the challenge was to taste a real oyster - an exciting first experience for many! Finally, the children were amazed at Yachtservice Van Swaay, where enormous boats were displayed in the shed. The question "How much does a boat like that actually cost?" was often asked. On behalf of Biz Bruinisse: thanks to all the companies for their hospitality! Kudos also to the children for their enthusiasm and curiosity.
