Car crashes into truck on Rijksweg Bruinisse

BRUINISSE - A passenger car was seriously damaged in an accident on the Rijksweg (N59) near Bruinisse. The driver hit the trailer of an oncoming truck but escaped unscathed. Around 11.45 am, the emergency services were called to an accident on the Rijksweg. For an unknown reason, the motorist drove into the trailer of the truck that came from the opposite direction. The car ended up on the divider between the adjacent lane and the parallel road. The motorist was not injured. The car was severely damaged and was recovered by the Ista towing company. The truck's trailer was so badly damaged that it had to be removed by the De Moor towing company. A single lane was closed during the recovery operation. Traffic was diverted via the service road.
