The Church Keeps Turning
In the Church under d'n Diek there are a number of works of art by members of the congregation that relate to Lent. You could call them contemporary Stations of the Cross or Stations of the Passion.
The works of art were created by Yvonne Kole, Joke Muller, Liny Oostenbroek, Margreet Reurich and Anneke Smaal.
On Thursday evening, March 21, there will be another 'De Kerk Draait Door evening'. This promises to be a special evening with Dr. Noëla Polet (Willibrordus Parish) as guest. This religious from Flanders plays an important role in the Roman Catholic Church on our island. She also teaches Catholic and Protestant dogmatics at the Theological Formation Course for parish members in Goes. A woman with a special background and someone who really has something to say!
The focus of this evening is on Passiontide with Lent, compelling stories and six passion chorales from Bach's St. Matthew Passion, sung by members of the Con Spirito choir.
Special attention is also given to the stations created by the congregation. Mar van de Veer is in charge of the overall organization.
