Bruenaars participate in Coast to Coast challenge

A special cycling challenge is soon on the agenda for a number of Bruen residents: the Coast to Coast Challenge of the Kidney Foundation. During this tour, a distance of 500 kilometers is covered in just 24 hours, right across the Netherlands. The Jumelet family is participating with mother Marijke, father Tonnie and their sons Michiel, Jelle and Bas. Together they take on this challenge. On Saturday, July 1, they will leave at 12:00 from Zoutkamp in Groningen, one of the northernmost points of the country. For 24 hours they will cross the Netherlands, with all the challenges that entails, to eventually reach the finish line in the beautiful Zoutelande in Zeeland. This bike ride has an important goal: to collect donations and thus support the Kidney Foundation in their quest for healthy kidneys for everyone. They also want to create awareness about the harmful effects of salt on the kidneys. That is why symbolic locations, such as Zoutkamp and Zoutelande, have been chosen to give extra strength to this message. They hope that you will be inspired to make conscious choices for a healthy lifestyle. The family and the Kidney Foundation desperately need your support!
