Another new sea cucumber discovered in the Netherlands

During Wageningen Marine Research's annual Demersal Fish Survey in September, a remarkable discovery was made at two locations in the Oosterschelde estuary. Among the catch were about ten pinkish-brown creatures: sea cucumbers, which, like starfish, belong to the echinoderms (Echinodermata). This is the first sighting of a sea cucumber in the area.
